Kids in Dawah

From: Humaira Fakhar

Assalamu Alaikum Dearest Ustazah

I want to share something with you about my youngest son Huzaifa, He is very active in helping out at his school, He works with his principal & teachers to help out those boys who are being bullied or beaten up by others. One day he told me “Mom, I help a boy who doest understand the questions. I finish my work quickly and help him.” And last week he told me “mom, there is a hindu boy, no one likes to play with him because he says bad things so I went up to him and i told him that our group of muslim boys is nice, you can come and play with us. And he did and then I told him you hang out with us so why dont you become a muslim. He said ok what do I have to do. So I told him to repeat after me (in english) kalima e shahadah and I told him that you have to let go of all the gods. There is only one God and His name is Allah.

I was so excited and I asked huzaifa to now tell him about good deeds and akhirah. Very seriously, he answered “MOOOOM, I have already done that. I am teaching him surah al fatiha now. He himself came upto me and asked huzaifa! wont you teach me Quran and I said o okayyy. Last recess.”When he was saiyng it, I thought how difficult it is to teach with words and how easy it is through actions. This group of little boys took in one person in their group with respect and the child became so impressed by Islam. SubhanAllah! May Allah keep him on this track for ever and may Allah bring up our youth in such a way that Islam prevails. Ameen!

I also want to share my experience something similar to this (i.e. Huzaifa’s). At my home I teach some children from my neighbourhood about Islam.

Few days back I was teaching them about Jannah. I told them in detail about the gardens, trees, rivers, fountains, food, fruits, garments, jewellery, crockery of jannah. For making the connection stronger I showed them the fruits like dates, olives, grapes, silk, brocade, pearls and explain them that everything in jannah is much better than this duniya in quality as well as in quantity.

After that I told them to share these details with their class fellows. Next day they all were very excited and told me that their friends are now eagerly looking forward to know about the details of the hellfire.

Insha’ Allah these are the Future Da’ees…

After reading email i would like to share my experience, I have four kids, i have told them not to listen music

Once we got new family in our compound they are Indian Muslims, they have three sons their older son is almost 10 years old, he was listening to the music in his mobile and my kids were also playing there. This boy ask my son to listen to the music with him, my son refused and put his hands on his ears and told him that my mother says “Muslims should not listen to music”. So this boy went home and saw her parents were watching TV and listening to the music so he turned the TV off and told his parents “Muslims should not listen to music”. This effected them so much, now none of them listen to the music and this boy goes to mosque to pray. And her mother thanks me so much.

I wish Allah give right hidayat to all the mothers so we can raise our generation as true muslims. Ameen
